What's an AIMOOK?
An AIMOOK (Artificial Intelligence Mentored Online Open Knowledge) is a new evolution of the MOOC, integrating the use of Artificial Intelligence to make the learning experience more interactive, personalised and dynamic.
It is a hybrid training environment, somewhere between an AIbook - an interactive digital book with adaptive pathways - and a traditional MOOC, in which learning takes place through a combination of multimedia resources, guided activities and moments of metacognitive reflection. AIMOOK is designed to accompany the participant on his or her learning journey, offering intelligent tools that can adapt to individual needs, rhythms and interests.
Among the distinctive elements of this format are:
- Integrated AIbook, which offers customised content and pathways;
- Aitivities, guided and adaptive practical exercises;
- metacognitive activities, which foster awareness and critical reflection on one's way of learning;
- infographics and visual materials, which support understanding;
- podcasts and expert contributions, enriching the experience with different perspectives.

How to use Artificial Intelligence to increase your “power to learn”
L’AIMOOK “Learning with AI” was produced as part of the Edvance project - Digital Education Hub for Advanced Digital Culture. The project is funded by the European Union - Next Generation EU, Component 1, Investment 3.4 “Advanced University Teaching and Skills”.”.
The course offers a general overview of the main Artificial Intelligence tools, such as Large Language Models (LLM), teaching participants to exploit them in a structured method in order to make the learning process more effective and personalised. By successfully completing the course and passing the assessed tests, it will be possible to obtain an Open Badge certifying the skills acquired.
AIMOOK is divided into three weeks, specifically:
- Week 1 - The Power of Learning: Introduction to the Smart Learning (SL) method for more structured and effective learning. Exploration of Artificial Intelligence tools, in particular Large Language Models (LLM), and their potential in the learning process.
- Week 2 - Steps for learning: Analysis of learning phases through concrete scenarios of using Artificial Intelligence tools.
- Week 3 - Next steps: Exploration of future perspectives of AI in education, from multimedia capabilities to personalisation, considering current limitations and future developments.
