METID Recording Rooms
METID has four dedicated video shooting rooms, designed for the production of MOOCs, online courses, podcasts and other audiovisual formats.
Three of these are located within the Leonardo Campus and one in the Campus Bovisa of the Politecnico di Milano.
The rooms are designed to offer the maximum flexibility and adaptation to different teaching and communication needs. Each space is equipped with professional equipment, high-definition cameras, modular lighting systems, neutral or customisable backdrops, high-quality microphones and dedicated editing software, enabling the creation of audiovisual products of academic and popular level.
The different rooms allow you to configure different sets, depending on the type of content: from traditional face-to-face lectures with on-screen lecturer, to interviews, to more dynamic formats such as talks, panels, demonstrations or multimedia presentations.
In addition, METID offers technical support and pedagogical-methodological advice to help teachers make the most of their video presence, taking care of aspects such as set design, posture and communicative tone.
The fourth studio, Educafé, represents a particularly versatile space: it can be set up with customised settings to meet specific needs for recording or educational experimentation. Educafé lends itself to innovative formats such as informal conversations, video podcasts, thematic interviews or short training pills. Thanks to these environments, METID supports the production of high quality digital content, contributing to the dissemination of knowledge and innovation in digital education at the Politecnico di Milano.
Alongside the video studios, METID also has a podcast recording room professional, specifically designed for the production of high quality audio content. The space is equipped with professional microphones, audio recording and monitoring systems, dedicated acoustic treatments and software for editing and post-production. The room allows the production of single podcasts or multi-voice conversations and is supported by technical assistance and methodological advice, to accompany teachers and experts in the design and production of effective audio formats, suitable for both teaching and science dissemination.
