Sustainable building design for tropical climates: principles and guidelines for EAC is addressed to building’s designers, from architecture students to practitioners.

It is aimed to enable them to plan and build tropical green buildings, providing a climate responsive building design methodology, supported by practical design tools and tailored on East African Community climates.

Sustainable architecture in tropical climates is still a field to be fully explored which can provide an extraordinary challenge for architects, engineers and building’s designers as well as new exciting opportunities!

The course, is offered in the framework of the project “Promoting Energy Efficiency in Buildings in East Africa” which is an initiative of UN-Habitatin collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and the governments of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi.

The first edition of the #MOOC will start on February 20th.
