The summer at METID opened up with “Digital Venice 2014” an international meeting, hosted by the City of Venice and promoted by the Italian Presidency of the Council of the European Union with the support of the European Commission – DG Connect.
The event involved important international guests like Jeremy Rifkin, Neelie Kroes, and the Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, to ponder on the planning of a sustainable digital economy.

METID was invited to present Metid Match, an initiative which in 2014 was granted the award for best practice from the Agency for Digital Italy, in the session “eskills for growth”.

METID Match is an initiative that promotes e-collaboration culture and open and reusable content sharing, open to all actors within the university environment (administrative staff, faculty members, researchers and students), that collaborate both online and face-to-face to the exploration of the online news and their possibilities of applications in the various contexts, sharing year after year (the first edition dates back to 2011) results and contents in an open and reusable way.
Metid Match events will start after the summer break on September 11th with two presentations dedicated to online platforms for data management. We look forward to seeing you!
